Description:
Formby State Jail is a maximum security, mixed custody facility located in Plainview Texas. It has the capacity to house up to 1,100 male offenders from J1-J5 and includes some general population inmates and transient offenders. Inmates are provided basic medical and dental care on site and can receive mental health services as well. Offenders are encouraged to participate in literacy and adult basic education courses, and obtain their GED if they do not currently possess one. Vocational skills are taught to inmates in carpentry, electrical, and culinary arts.
