Brazos County, TX Public Records

Brazos County public records include all written, audio, video, and software materials generated, utilized, or maintained by local government agencies. County legislation also allows the public to view and inspect these records, provided the information has no legal restraints. Vital records, for example, fall under exemptions as they are only accessed by eligible requesters. That is spouses, close relatives, legal representation, and the person on the record. Births, deaths, marriages, and property records are all stored by the Brazos County Clerk. Divorce record copies, though, are available from the District Clerk’s office. The County Clerk’s office is open weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm and charges according to the record. Cash is preferred for in-person requests, but mail requisitions can be done with a money order or check.
