Wise County, TX Public Records

The public has access to all records maintained by Wise County, which may be typewritten, handwritten, photographed, captured on film, or created in another way. The county maintains a variety of records, including vital, court, arrest, and land records. The Texas Public Information Act requires government agencies to ensure public access to these records; it does not, however, mandate them to produce new records, conduct research, or display records in any manner different from how they are maintained. There may be a cost associated with requesting copies of documents.

Wise County public records are available for inspection in person or by mail request to the appropriate agency, which must respond to such record requests within ten business days.
